At Crew Cuts, Gabriel’s nickname is Choco. He has been with us for over 10 years. Choco’s breakthrough came in 2001, when he teamed-up with Alejandro González Iñárritu, to put together an episode of "The Hire," a series of eight short films for BMW that starred Clive Owen as The Driver. The episode, "Powder Keg," won Grand Clio Awards and a Silver Lion at Cannes. Beyond commercial work, Choco’s sure hand also enhances documentary and fictional film projects. Many of these projects have been recognized at film festivals worldwide, including winner of the "Best International Short Film" at the Hollyshorts Film Festival, "Best International Feature" at the Calgary International Film Festival, "Best Feature Film" at the Diosa de Plata Awards, "Reyna de Navarra Prize" at the Pamplona Film Festival and top honors at the Guadalajara Film Festival. Most recently, Gabriel was nominated for an International Emmy Award for his work on Top Chef México! He is our leading bilingual editor and he brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'multi-talented editor.'
